Our Open Day is this Saturday! The Boghall Drop in Centre has everything planned and all we need now is some beautiful weather to make the Day a success.

There is a wide variety of activities available for you and your family at this event. This event is to raise awareness of the groups, services and support available in the Community Wing that may suit you.

In the Gym Hall there will be information stalls showing you some of the partner agencies that work in the Community Wing... anything from employability support to exercise classes. The Hall will also have arts & crafts stations. There will be one table dedicated to helping you make your Mother's Day cards. The second table is a competition to design a 'Thank you' card design for the Boghall Drop in Centre: the winning design will win an Art & Crafts Gift BOX! The third table will be provided by Boghall Parish Church and will be a mini Messy Church station!

These tables should keep the kids busy while you have a browse around the stalls. Face painting will also be available in the Gym Hall. There will be a few bouncy castles and interactive games for the children to play with at the Open Day. These activities will be free of charge. There will also be a mini ball pit available in the Community Wing for babies and toddlers. Pop in and learn more about the Play Sessions available in the Community Wing.

Boghall Parish Church will have a stall in the Gym Hall but will be providing Storytime in the Community Wing. Stortime will take place at the following times.

10.30am - 11.30am - 12.30pm - 1.30pm

West Lothian Youth Action Project will be there cooking some delicious BBQ. Tickets will be available from a member of the Boghall Drop in Centre staff(easily identified by the teal t-shirts). Tickets will entitle adults to one Burger and a Tea or Coffee and each child a hot dog and drink. You will not be able to collect these items without a ticket. All food for the BBQ has been donated by Tesco. Thank you so much Tesco and Youth Action Project for working together to provide hot food on the day!

One of the main focuses of the Open Day is to engage the community to complete a survey to allow the Boghall Drop in Centre to identify gaps in provisions in Boghall. The funding the Boghall Drop in Centre receives from the BIG Lottery Fund Scotland aims to help identify what services and provisions the community would like to see introduced. The surveys will give the Centre a clear indicator to what type of activities to pilot in the Community Wing. These activities and services will be piloted in the new Super Sunday sessions in April. Information about Super Sundays will be available at the Open Day.
